Henderson March 14 1843
Beloved children I gladly received your letter a few days ago
which informed me that you and your family ware all well which
was good news to me I am as well as usul for me I am some troubled
with the lis?; Abel and Hannah are well and their children I
must write the molloncoley news to you of the death of your aunt
Sarah Buck she died night before last and has gawn to meet your
mothers in heaven I believe; she was about 83 yead old you wanted
to know whare lydia was she lives out whare Isaiah Bartlett [does not this mean Barton] lives
in Royalton; you wrote that you wight me to come and live with you
the remainder of my days which will be but few but I aint sold my
place and money is so scarce I dound think that I could sell but I
thank you for your kind offer; if I should sell my mind is to go to the
illinois on account of my health they tell me that it cures the photig?
sick on the heavs in a house by going thair to live; I should goo to the
illinois to have you goo and your children I am sure that it wald
be a great deal biller? for them and you to go id yose can't git but
half what you are worth in money money is so scarce there?
Aaron writes that a man that has got money he can dow as he is
a mind to dow he is in a butifull country and as good as thair is in
America and he is in the Hanesomest Villages and civilest in
the state the editor of the Chicago paper says it is
Aaron has bought a large brick shop in the center of the Village
and two acres of land the land is now worth 8 hundred dollars
he cannes on three fires and has a mulch work as he can dow
their cart house is thair they have got a high school house
three meeting houses and the methodist are agoing to put
up one this spring and plenty of good land for sale; but
should write offener but as you say money is scarce I had to borrey
monry to take out your letter my love to you all I want to see you 
all verry mulch
